How This Thing Works

Even the fastest reader takes a little time to finish a book so while we start rating new YA we'll be posting about books we've already read (most multiple times).  We do have the books available and are checking them as well (so we're not completely relying on memory!).  There just won't be as many specific details.

We will be rating each book in 5 different categories:

• Profanity
• Intimacy 
• Violence 
• Controlled Substances
• Special Issues. 

Each one will get a rating of mild, moderate, or severe. There may be none in which case we'll state that. We will be uploading a page showing what constitutes each one.  We will be rating these with teens in mind and what is typically in YA fiction.  The AR level and point amount will also be included (if available) for those that need it.

The point of this site is to be as objective as possible so you can make an educated decision about what you want to read. We will be suggesting an age appropriate for the story matter, which will, of course, be our own opinion.
